One of Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company's most important activities is to study, design and supervise different types of dams such as concrete dams (concrete gravity dam, double curvature arch dam, roller compacted concrete dam), earthfill dams and rockfill dams. So far Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company has studied about 200 dams (in over 50 – 315 m height range) and design and supervise construction of 52 dams out of which 23 dams are in operation.
Study, design and construction supervision of hydropower plant projects are the other major activities of Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company (design and construction supervision of over 17000 MW hydropower plant projects out of which 8000 MW hydropower plants are in operation).
The other activities include designing long water supply tunnels, power tunnels, powerhouse caverns, urban sewage tunnels and traffic tunnels relying on technical knowledge, engineering competence and long experience in the field of tunneling. So far Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company has supervised and studied large tunnel projects (230 km in total).
Designing railroads, highways residential buildings and so on are included in Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company's activities out of which about 3000 km access roads at the area of dam site, reservoirs and appurtenant installations and about 500 km freeways have been constructed or are under construction.
