Purpose of the Project:
>
Prevention of saline water intrusion into Bahmanshir River
from Persian Gulf.

Supplying fresh water for palm trees in Arvand & Bahmanshir
through Karun River.

Supplying water for shrimp production

Water Conveyance and irrigation of 16000 hectares of palm
trees located in Abadan, by developing 500 hectares in every
year, total area of irrigated lands will be 25600 hectares.
